Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Logistics Intern with fluent English who will work in the GE HealthCare Global Freight Payment team, with logistics teams and suppliers across all regions. You'll manage processes related to freight invoice payment for transportation and logistics related goods and services. Will support overall Global strategy and productivity improvements.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • You will follow freight invoice processes to achieve required on-time payments and measure freight invoice processes.

  • You will be learning about the business end to end as you work with the Global Freight Payment team. From understanding logistics contracts and services provided, to invoice approval and payment.

  • Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understand how work of own team contributes to the area.

  • Resolve issues using established procedures. Consult supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Collaborate with others to solve issues. Exchange information, ask questions and check for understanding.

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice and account status.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Basic business experience in any area.

  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication in English.

  • Currently enrolled as a student.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiplepriorities.

  • Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Familiarity with logistics / supply chain processes.
