The MyHR Consultant is responsible for working with managers and employees on a broad range of complex and sensitive issues within the area of Employee Relations. Responsibilities include providing guidance on absenteeism, performance management, employment legislation, policy interpretation and corrective action as well as investigating employee grievances. The MyHR Consultant collaborates closely with the Site Works Council, People Business Partners, Legal and other Centres of Expertise such as Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition and the MyHR Advisor/Service Delivery Team.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide employment-related jurisdictional based legal advice and interpretation of local employment legislation to people managers for a variety of employee relations topics
Provide guidance and coaching to employees, people managers and key stakeholders regarding the interpretation of company policies and programs, compliance and operational effectiveness and improvements
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the business and collaborate with People Business Partners, Legal, COEs, Site Works Council and external vendors
Support ER-related investigations and advise on employee complaints and grievances in close cooperation with the legal team
Support the delivery of training to managers across the organization and supports projects and initiatives related to policy development and implementation and operational improvements.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
5+ years experience in the area of Human Resources in a global organization, particularly in the area of Employee Relations; jurisdictional or functional expertise required
Experience of managing Works Council relationships, experience working with remote teams is a plus
Good knowledge and understanding of local employment legislation, interpretation and implementation and of employment practices specific to jurisdiction
Ability to understand the risks of handling different tasks within the German labor law environment
Ability to handle complex, sensitive enquiries and conversations with discretion, composure and compassion
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, global organization and to build strong trust-based relationships with remote client groups and colleagues with diverse cultural backgrounds
Fluency in German and English; additional language is a plus
