Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 12 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.

• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience writing high-quality Java or Go code.

• Experience or familiarity with SQL Server ecosystem API Design, Database Management, and Cloud Computing.

• Ability to produce clean, well thought out designs.

• Background in RDBMS management and Infrastructure as a Service.

• Background in Large-Scale Distributed Systems.

• Play a critical role in designing and building services for a durable, secure, highly-available managed SQL Server database service.

• Work from technical specifications to independently develop, modify, test, and release Google Cloud SQL - SQL Server roadmap features.

• Develop bug fixes and resolve customer escalations to improve operation efficiency and reliability.

• Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management, and program management to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely manner.

• Be involved in design/code reviews, architecture discussions, and infrastructure reviews.
