Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

The position offers an opportunity to join the Financials Cloud Product Management Team that is focused on developing enterprise level solutions for our customers. Our applications provide receivables, collections, and revenue management solutions used by customers worldwide. We are working on Oracle’s next-generation solution that will exploit the most innovative technologies including Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and provide challenging development projects from day one. Description of the Role:

We are seeking a product manager to work on the next generation of cloud-based, data-driven applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in execution of key initiatives for a set of flagship products within the Financials Cloud suite. The candidate will provide functional specifications for the solutions and take the solutions to the market following an agile, continuous-delivery methodology and a dev-ops mindset. The candidate will represent the products to internal audiences (e.g., product marketing, sales, and other field organizations).

  • Lead discussion with the management to gain insight into product roadmap, project assigned - its background, goal and scope. Ensure management expectations and delivery timelines are clearly understood.

  • Liaison between Strategy/Customer/Management to understand customer business process and get a complete 360 analysis on the related requirements.

  • Be creative in solutioning customer problems/requirements. Best solutions are always the simplest. Produce high-quality design documents with comprehensive and detailed solution analysis with focus on all core areas: extensibility, robustness, backward compatibility, supportability, exception handling, performance expectations/benchmarking, upgrade plan for customers, critical technology or product dependencies, product resiliency (self-correction) and flexibility (user self-service feature), and cloud operational considerations: recoverability and restart-ability, opt-in options for the customer. Designs should also include definition of product use cases, wireframes and upstream and downstream impact areas.

  • Uphold product quality to highest standards. As part of design it is very critical to document testing strategy that identifies the success/acceptance criteria for the project. Ensure that any testware is in line with focus of the enhancement, is tested with real customer use cases/data patterns and influencers.

  • Ensure the MVP definition is aligned with customer commitment in mind, and management sign off is received.

  • Collaborate with Dev team member on reviewing any technical solution document to ensure that it is aligned with the finalized solution approach.

  • Work closely with Information Development team to create launch deliverables such as New Feature Summary, What’s New, and TOI's.

  • Deliver product functionality training to internal development organizations (e.g., Documentation, Quality Assurance, Demonstration Services, Customer Care, and other development teams), to other LOBs (e.g., Support, Consulting, Oracle University, and Sales) and to external entities such as partners and alliances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product management, consulting, or implementation experiences in Quote-to-Collect space are preferred.

  • Financial educational background such as CA, ICWA, and MBA (Finance) is very much desirable. The successful applicant should have in-depth understanding of financial flows and business processes involved in finance management.

  • Strong analytical skills; strong written and spoken communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Web technologies, UI components, design patterns, and best practices is preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
