Bardy Diagnostics, a fast-growing organization within Baxter, is seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer. As a member of our dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and healthcare providers. What you'll be doing: Design, develop, and maintain secure and reliable cloud systems that maximize speed and scale. Create high quality, testable applications based on product and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, establishing lean software practices and delivering high-quality, timely results. Create and maintain system documentation consistent with organizational and regulatory requirements. Ensure interoperability across all system components. Perform system design and code reviews. Mentor less experience developers on proper system design and coding standards. Own code quality and consistency throughout components. What you'll bring: Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent 10+ years of experience designing and developing scalable web applications Excellent coding skills and proficiency in web technologies, with an emphasis in Python, C/C++ Strong experience with backend systems and APIs (REST, Graph) Strong knowledge of database technologies including SQL/MSSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure storage tables Strong design and programming fundamentals Highly self-motivated and directed Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments preferred Medical Device or other regulated industry experience is preferred What's in it for you? At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
