Department Summary:

Join MITRE's Computing Infrastructure & IT Service Management department and apply advanced approaches and technologies to solve our nation's most critical technical and mission problems across multiple work programs. Work with senior government officials, in partnership with diverse customer groups, providing strategic direction and leadership in the selection, engineering, integration, implementation and operation of infrastructure engineering.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Translates user needs into requirements, leveraging knowledge of the application domain and technology state of the practice. Evaluates alternatives to derive and develop architectures, plans, and designs by using analytic techniques and guiding and integrating multiple engineering disciplines. Provides enterprise architecture, IT strategic planning, strategic performance/outcome management, business process analysis, systems requirements analysis, systems architecture and design, systems integration and test, quality management and risk analysis services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead development initiatives including proofs of concept within MITRE Innovation Lab

  • Provide expertise to federal sponsors in implementations of ITSM tool suites, Low-code PaaS and SaaS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) Platforms such as Cherwell, BMC Remedy and ServiceNow

  • At least 5 years’ experience with ITSM Platforms to include

  • Scripting (java, python or other)

  • Platform configuration for ITSM

  • Application design and development

  • Integration with other tools and systems

  • Deployment in a production environment

  • Eligibility to obtain Top Secret clearance

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the government sector

  • Experience supporting operational environments

  • Experience presenting to senior management
