Aero Controls, Inc. Engineer and Non-Destructive Inspector in Auburn, Washington

Engineer and Non-Destructive Inspector Perform inspections per industry standards and specifications. Maintain non-destructive inspection (NDI) training records, calibration maintenance records, and manage workflow. Establish techniques and document procedures; interpret codes, standards, and specifications. Follow and adhere to all policies and regulations and ensure compliance with the company's inspection standards, methods, and procedures. Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, and processes. Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve maintenance processes and products to reduce costs. Incorporate new maintenance methods and processes to improve existing operations. Prepare documentation for new maintenance processes and engineering procedures. Communicate maintenance capabilities, production schedules, and other information to facilitate production processes. Evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. Design tests of finished products and process capabilities to establish standards and validate process requirements. Development of new capability test fixtures and equipment, research and documentation of equivalent aircraft parts and materials, assisting the repair shop in resolving technical data and repair issues, and the reverse engineering of aircraft parts. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and two years of experience in: production and quality analysis of finished products and product capabilities to the required specifications, utilizing CAD & Engineering software tools; identifying opportunities and implementing changes to improve production process, utilizing quality control standards; ensuring that accuracy and conformance of product features are consistent with technical specification, functional performance and safety requirements for aircraft systems and aviation standards; liaise with relevant staff regarding product or production non-conformance and other issues while ensuring quality procedures are always adhered to; and interpreting Aviation data, manuals, documentations and publication systems as well as FAA & EASA Regulations to recommend and facilitate production decisions that meet flight safety standards.
