Belay Technologies Data Scientist (All-Levels Database Administrator) in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Belay Technologies seeks a Data Scientist of all levels to join our Intel team. Depending on the level of the Data Scientist, the qualifications and experience will vary. All Data Scientist shall support the development of tools to migrate data into a NiFi environment, monitor dataflows using NiFi, identify interuptions to dataflow, support operations and maintenance, to include improvements, of legacy tools.

Entry-Level Data Scientist:

Candidates should have the following qualifications:  

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope poly is required.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science)

  • One year of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics

  • One year of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.

    Candidates are required to have the following skills:

  • Experience in software development, cloud development, analyzing datasets, or developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics preferred.

  • Support algorithm development; support queries from analyst

  • Python; Java, MySQL, Oracle ,  Angular, NiFi

    Mid-Level Data Scientist:

    Candidates should have the following qualifications:  

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope poly is required.

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science). 

  • An additional two years of experience in software development, cloud development, analyzing datasets, or developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics can be substituted for a Master's degree. 

  • A PhD from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline can be substituted for three years of experience.

  • Five years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, five years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.  

    Candidates are required to have the following skills:

  • Experienced with analyzing datasets

  • Experienced with developing analytics

  • Experienced with programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.

  • Support algorithm development; support queries from analysts

  • Python; Java, MySQL, Oracle ,  Angular, NiFi

    Senior Data Scientist:

    Candidates should have the following qualifications:  

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope poly is required.

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or computer science). 

  • An additional two years of experience in software development, cloud development, analyzing datasets, or developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics can be substituted for a Master's degree. 

  • A PhD from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline can be substituted for four years of experience.

  • Ten years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, and ten years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB. 

    Candidates are required to have the following skills:

  • Experienced with analyzing datasets and developing analytics

  • Experienced with programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB. 

  • Support algorithm development; support queries from analysts

  • Python; Java, MySQL, Oracle ,  Angular, NiFi
