The Lehigh County Office of Children & Youth is currently seeking a Data Analyst 2 to perform essential quality control clerical work with us. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Data Analyst 2 you will share in a variety of clerical responsibilities with your team. This position processes daily referrals by researching referred families for previous history in child welfare agencies, connecting each referral to a previous case or assigning a new case number as appropriate, and forwarding the referral to be assigned. This includes conducting criminal background and criminal history checks, which can involve collaboration with other agencies over email, then logging both checks and referrals in the appropriate systems. Other shared responsibilities include troubleshooting issues as a team, assisting with the training of new employees in the agency, and maintaining the file room. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Data Analyst 1; or Three years of progressively responsible experience in the review, analysis, and control of computer processed data. Appropriate post high school education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Schuylkill counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
