SOS International LLC Armed Mid-level CISS (Counter Intelligence Support Specialist) Team Lead in Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Iran

* This position is contingent upon contract award *

SOSi is currently seeking an Armed Mid-level CISS Team Lead to support armed CI tasks in the USCENTCOM AOR. Government-requested armed CI team composition is mission dependent, and task organized based upon CI screening requirements.

Essential Job Duties

  • Screenings may be accomplished off-FOB in hostile controlled and potentially hostile fire zones without an armed CI military presence. Subjects being screened could potentially be armed, increasing the risk to armed CI personnel.

  • Support complex time-sensitive military operations. Identify and perform basic network analysis and conduct planning efforts. May provide support to Special Operations Forces (SOF).

  • Forecast, recognize, and anticipate issues. Resolve conflict among multiple priorities and implement effective solutions to maintain timelines for deliverables.

  • Produce all documents such as proof of LOAC, RUF, ROE signature acknowledgement and annual weapons qualification score card upon request.

  • Maintain proficiency with, and the capability to carry, assigned small arms. (Specifically qualified to carry and use an M4 Carbine and M9, M17, M18 Pistol).

  • Weapons will only be carried while performing assigned armed CI missions.

  • Supervise Contractor Personnel Performance of armed CI Operations.

  • Maintain all armed CI files and Reports Log.

  • Schedule and plan TFAN missions.

  • Perform convoy operations to mission sites and enforce team force protection posture.

  • Conduct armed CI Operations briefings.

  • Provide analysis to support CI investigations and TARP.

  • Provide support to the OPSEC/TARP awareness programs and shall provide briefings to base personnel.

  • Coordinate with installation leadership/FP personnel/CI elements/2X elements.

  • Develop recording mechanisms for Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and lessons learned in the conduct of operations. Include all lessons learned (positive & negative), as well as best- practice TTPs in an accessible forum as agreed upon by the TTM.

  • Coordinate with senior leadership and senior intelligence officials on station to ensure CI activities support CI teams, OMT, S2X, and CJ2X and other supported Commands.

  • Perform biometric enrollments of ANDSF, LN, and TCNs during armed CI operations and at locations that do not have organic enrollment capabilities.

  • Ad Hoc/anticipated deliverables (including but not limited to): physical record for each LN/TCN upon completion of each interview, electronic record for each LN/TCN upon completion of each interview, and Reports Log for each new report; scheduling and activities log made available for review by CI team/OMT/2X and CONOPs prior to each mission; operations briefs and MFR; Concept of Operations (CONOPs) if required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope SECRET clearance (TS with SCI eligibility preferred) .

  • At least six (6) years’ experience with former MOS 35L, 351L, 97B, 35E, OR civilian 1810/1811/0132 OR as 18F = SF INTEL NCO OR 180A SF WO with ASOT-III, other service equivalent specialty codes such as USAF 7S071 – Special Investigator (SI), USMC 0211 Counterintelligence/HUMINT (CI/HUMINT) specialist or other DoD joint service equivalent specialty codes.

  • 35M, 351M, and 97E OR USAF 1N791 Human Intelligence Specialist can be waived with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Junior Screener.

  • Three (3) years’ operational experience coordinating operations.

  • Knowledge of Army/Joint CI procedures, doctrine, and practices

  • Knowledge of Army/Joint Counterintelligence regulations and legal limits (see applicable Part 6 references)

  • Deployment experience.

  • Experience in working with and through interpreters.

  • Experience with interview and solicitation techniques.

  • Experience with CI principles and methods.

  • Experience in developing screening /interviewing/debriefing plans.

  • Experience in conducting screenings / interviewing / debriefing.

  • Briefing skills.

  • Experience with the evaluation of information requiring further investigation.

  • Experience supporting CI operations or acting in the capacity of / performing the mission of a CI agent.

  • Experience writing military reports.

  • Able to qualify with the M4 rifle and M9/M17/M18 pistol using basic military marksmanship standards.

  • Able to carry a 60-lb pack in the field and the M4 rifle for self-defense.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Government CI credentialing course such as CI Special Agent course (CISAC or other accredited DOD credentialing course)

  • Associates degree

  • Knowledge of Dari or Pashto language and Afghan culture.

  • Familiar with CI Systems and databases such as PCASS, CELLEX, BI2R, TCOP, HOT-R.

  • DSDC Qualified.

  • Tactical Deployment CI experience.

Work Environment

  • Living and working conditions while TDY or deployed could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, adverse conditions, and relocation on short notice.
